I think I may be asking the impossible here but here we go!

I am trying to make conditional formatting across multiple sheets.

Tabs: TIMETABLE 1, TIMETABLE 2, TIMETABLE 3

If B10 in TIMETABLE 1 (tab 1) is used in B10 in another tab (TIMETABLE 2 or TIMETABLE 3) , highlight both cells red.

Is this possible?!

Thanks

Laura.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
What do you mean with: used? Have a value?
Hello, thanks for the reply!

yes, so

If B10 in TIMETABLE 1 (tab 1) is value Peter and B10 in another tab (TIMETABLE 2 or TIMETABLE 3) is also the value Peter, highlight both cells red.

By Conditional Formatting you can refer to an other sheet:
in sheet timetable2 B10: Format cells egaal to -> timetable1!B10
For comparing two cells you need a formula:
in sheet timetable1: new rule -> formula -> =OR(timetable1!B10=timetable2!B10;timetable1!B10=timetable3!B10)

Thank you so much! Will give this a go now :)

Try changing the semi-colon to a comma
