Dear Friends

A1 2
A2 3
A3 5

Cell A3 contains sum of cell A1 and A2.

What I want is that if i select (and not double-click) cell A3, all the cells involved in formula get highlighted.

In above case if i select A3, the cells involved in formula A1 and A2 get highlighted.

How?

Hi Joe

I know this method but my requirement is that by simple selection of the cell containing formula, all the dependent cells get highlighted.

I think that is going to be some complex VBA code. A Google search does not appear to be returning anything anyone might have done to do this (though maybe I just haven't found it). If this is something you really want done, and cannot find anything on the internet, and cannot find anyone willing to write the needed advanced VBA code to do it (it might be beyond the scope of "free help"), it may be something that you might need to look at a Consultant to do.

I did come across this other method, which is much easier than the first I referenced. It simply involves hitting two keys when in your selected cell to highlight the dependents.
