Good Afternoon,

I have a form that is used by several others which contains dropdown data in hidden rows and columns.
I do not want these users to have access to unhide and view or change the hidden data.
Can I hide and password protect specific rows and columns and leave the rest of the form unprotected so they can fill in required cells as needed.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.

.

If you password protect an entire worksheet, only the cells that are locked will be prevented from changes by users. By default, all cells are locked unless you specify otherwise. Therefore if you unlock certain cells before you protect a sheet, then users will only be able to change the unlocked cells after you protect the sheet.

(1) To unlock cells, select them and then press Ctrl+1 on the keyboard.
(2) Goto the "Protection" tab and uncheck the "Locked" checkbox.
(3) Now, when you protect the sheet, users will be able to change the unlocked cells.

You can also lock/unlock entire rows and columns.

Greetings -

I have been doing some research and along with this advice the form performs perfectly just as I wanted. Many thanks and have a wonderful weekend. (Now I can leave work!)
