Hi peeps,

To hide zeros, I normally put ;; at the end in the Format Cells Custom section. However, this doesn't seem to work for the Accounting choice (have to use Currency) and was just wondering if anyone knew a workaround? I also thought about conditionally formatting the relevant column, but it's in a table with different coloured rows...

Ta muchly! :giggle:

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
Thank you, @ISY, but that gives me the Currency format and I would like the Accounting format, if possible (I'm using GBP (£)), but can't find a way to make it work that way...

With accounting format you should not get zeros, it should be -

Apologies, I do get "-", but I wanted to hide this if there is no text in a previous cell and it won't accept ;; in the Format Cell Custom - I'm presuming it can't be done...?

I have a formula in the cell I want to format as Accounting but hide result if there is nothing in A1
Excel Formula:
=IF(A1="0",0,(A1/7)*B1)
.
