hello all,

dear please solve my problem i need some help in "Excel 2003"... i have filtered data with column A, now i want to remove duplicate rows in Column C from this filtered data

i.e

in Column A i have date, and in column C i have Items Sold, now i have filtered data (Column A) with Dated 1st, and i see i have sold (Column C) pen, pen, pencil, pen, eraser, pencil, copy, notebook, copy, copy, pencil.... i want to hide duplicate rows in column Cc

can anybody help me?

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
One way would be to use Advanced Filter instead of AutoFilter.

Set up like below.
The date of interest is in E2.
F1 must be empty
F2 contains the formula shown.

Then use Advanced Filter with the Criteria range of F1:F2.

Before applying the Advanced Filter:

Excel Workbook
ABCDEF
1Date
2DateOtherItem4/10/11FALSE
31/10/11eraser
41/10/11pen
54/10/11pencil
64/10/11pen
74/10/11pencil
84/10/11pen
94/10/11book
105/10/11paper
11
Filter

After applying the Advanced Filter:

Excel Workbook
ABCDEF
1Date
2DateOtherItem4/10/11FALSE
54/10/11pencil
64/10/11pen
94/10/11book
11
Filter

If you want to try this but need more help with the Adv Filter steps, post back again.

You select the list you want to filter. So for my setup that would be A2:C10

Firstly, is any of that data private so that it shouldn't be shown publicly like this?
If so, post back and I will remove it.

With data like that, try this ...

1. Take off your Autofilter.

2. Insert 3 new rows at the top so your original headings and data start at row 4.

3. Fill in A1, B1 and C2 as I have below.

4. Enter your name of interest in A2, date of interest in D2

5. Select cell A4 and then press Ctrl+A (This should select all the main table)

6. Run the ASdvanced Filter. Having selected the main table, I think the range should then populate into the Adv Filter dialog but if not manually select the range or type the range address. The criteria range is now G1:G2.

Excel Workbook
ABCDEFG
1NameDate
2FALSE
3
4NameMSISDNDatedDateTimeLocation
Filter (2)
