I have a sheet with several blocks of data I am trying to extract for analysis.
Is there a way to select each block for copying and pasting depending on a single cell contents?
ie the top left cell will alway include the letters TEC
I hope this make sense though I doubt it

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)
You can give your blocks names and call it like this.

Are the data blocks all the same size?
When you say "extract for analysis", what does that mean?

The block will change when the data is updated but follow the same basic structure, can this be done through VBA?

Occasionally the blocks will be a row larger, the analysis part is so users can look at when their subject is being taught, ie Module C Tracked Technology will run for different classes several times a year

As it stands I have vba to run through each block and pull out the info required, this seems very cumbersome, I'm sure there must be a more elegant way to do this

Yes, VBA can be used to identify (and select) a block by it's TCM number, but what you want it to do then is still something of a mystery.

Yeah I can see I'm not explaining this very well.
Each block is a class cohort and all the subjects they have to cover.
What I need in the end is to report by subject, what class and when.
Essentially the data changes from listed by class to listed by subject.
Any better?
