Hi,

Appreciate any help I can get regarding my post. I'd like my report to be able to automatically populate cells based on the information from a column.

I currently have a very long nested if function under column G, which checks the information in column F. But what I'd like to do is automatically populate columns F, G and H, based on the name found in column E.

The information to be populated in column E, F, G and H can be found in the Requester List tab. I tried using the dynamic range in data validation but I can't seem to make it work. Basically, what I would want i paste or type in the name in column E, columns F, G and H should populate automatically.

Is it also possible to create a dropdown list for column E? and would auto-complete or filter the possible matches from the requester list tab? The spreadsheet is found in the link below.

I would appreciate any assistance on this.

Best regards,
Agatha

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
What is the formula that you are currently using? Could you give a few more expected outcomes to make your requirement clearer? You might want to include the data in your post, as not all members are willing or able to access file-sharing sites. You could use the ForumTools add-in in my sig line to help you do this.
