Help with Macro Enabled Excel file closing automatically when I try to open it

I have created an excel macro enabled file. I have some macros in the file. I changed a macro and there is obviously a bug in my macro. Now when I open my file the file automatically closes. I am able to open the file in protected view. As soon as I click on "Enable Editing" the file closes. While in protective view and enabled is disabled, how can I get into my macro to fix the issue as I cannot see and macros in VBA while the protected view is enabled and Edit mode is disabled.

Can you open a second workbook and reach it from there by ALT+F11?

While the workbook is loading, press CTRL/BREAK keys at the same time. From your description it sounds like you will
only be able to "break" into the code by pressing those keys at the correct split second. It may take a number of times
for it to be successful.
