Help with isblank

Bit of a novice here so please bare with me.

Trying to use an ISBLANK formula like so: =IF(ISBLANK(B26),"","Food Cost: "&B26)

B26 is the cost of food. I want this formula to tie into a text line and reference both "Food Cost and cell B26 together. For the life of me and cant get this to work.

=IF(B26="","","Food Cost: "&B26)

You're welcome, just so that you know it means that your cell isn't blank (it has an empty string in it).

How would I do this to reference a range of cells example B26:B36? =IF(B26="","","Food Cost: "&B26)

I have food cost broken down into months, Food Cost Jan, Food Cost Feb etc so using the formula above I want to collect the cost from B1-B12 and return "Total Food Cost" with =IF(B1:B12="","","Total Food Cost: "&B1:12)

If you mean you want "" returned if every cell has an empty string then...

=IF(COUNT(B1:B12)=0,"","Food Cost: "&SUM(B1:B12))
