help with IF statement

I want something that
IF cell A1 = blank AND B1 = blank then C1 would = 1 OR ELSE C1 = BLANK




what would the formula be for something like that?
 

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Replace the semicolons with commas.

=IF(AND(ISBLANK(A1),ISBLANK(B1)),1,"")

Excel uses ;'s as delimiters in some countries and ,'s in others

Omg thanks so much it works but 1 problem when a or b have value i want c to go blank but it only goes blank when both have values how can i make it where if either a or b have values the c goes blank?
