Hi, i've been asked to remove a commission amount from a figure to bring it to net, then add in a different commission amount.

I can work out all individually but i'm struggling to put it all into one formula so some help would be great!

The numbers i have at the moment are as follows;

Gross rate 1.08
Commission as decimal 1.225
Calculation to get to net = 1.08/1.225
=0.882

Then the following;
Net rate - 0.882
New commission amount - 1.08
Calculation to get to new amount = 0.882*1.08

How do i put these two calculations into one formula that can be dragged across multiple cells?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
It would be as simple as

=1.08/1.225*1.08

where the 1.08 was a cell reference for the gross rate. You could also use cell references for the two commissions but these would be to be absoluted to drag, eg

=A1/$B$1*$C$1
