I'm trying to write 1 formula vs 1200 so here we go and thank you in advance for the help

- I have a workbook with two tabs called WK1 and WK2
- In WK1, Cell A1 = 5
- In WK2, Cell A1 contains the text "WK1" and cell B1 contains the formula ='WK1'!A1 which equals 5

My goal here is to update the formula in WK2 cell B1 so that it the formula text is pulled from B1 rather than me having to type it

Is that possible?

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
Don't quite understand your explanation but maybe this:
=INDIRECT(ADDRESS(1,1,,,A1))
