Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and i'm enjoying my stay here so far!

Recently I've been helped in a personal project for a friend of mine, but now I need a help work related.

I have a spreadsheet here which was made by a former employee, unfortunately he left our company about 2 months ago... The macro was running smoothly so far but recently it has been showing an error, when I tried to actually go and check what that error was, the VBAProject was protected by a password only known by this employee.. I've been trying to contact him for over two weeks now with no success..

I know that this might be against the rules of Microsoft and even of this forum, but we have some urgency about this worksheet since we have about 50 suppliers that use it for some products inputs in our database, so when I talked to my boss that there was a small chance of cracking the password he gave me the permission to try.

So, once again, I know that this might not be in the forum rules but i'm here for some information only, like yes, actually you can do this and give me a how to or tell me yes, you can but it is against the rules, therefore we are not able to tell you how.

Again guys, there is no problem if you guys can't tell me and please this is just for information.
If there is no possibility, I don't want to put anyone into trouble, so I will just keep trying to reach this former employee.

Thank you all for your attention and comprehension!
