=(SUMIFS(Avastin100!AA:AA,Avastin100!I:I,"1st Inspection",Avastin100!$D:$D,">="&EDATE("October 1, 2011",0),Avastin100!$D:$D,"<="&EDATE("December 1, 2011",1)))/E25

I want to add a check to see if the cell in column AW contains the text "*CMO*"
Not sure if there is a "contains" function that will work within SUMIFS

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
You can use the wildcards exactly like that

=SUMIFS(Avastin100!AA:AA,Avastin100!I:I,"1st Inspection",Avastin100!$D:$D,">="&EDATE("October 1, 2011",0),Avastin100!$D:$D,"<="&EDATE("December 1, 2011",1),Avastin100!AW:AW,"*CMO*")/E25

I thought I had tried that and it didn't work but I did it again and it works great. I can't figure out why they don't highlight this capability in the function on the microsoft site. Thanks for your support!
