I am working with a list that I am copying into Excel. I need the list to end up in a text file with a comma and a space after each record. After saving the file out of Excel into a comma-delimited file there is no comma after the records. Am I doing something incorrectly?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
does it import back properly, the other thing is it maybe TAB formated

Its probably doing what it knows how to regardless of what you want

I am not sure about importing back properly. When I copy it from a text file into Lightroom to batch search for photo names the files do not contain a comma which is required for Lightroom to properly search.

is the exported csv the same file as the one that is being used, easy mistake when testing

if you open notepad then open the file is the commas there

are you using code o save the xlsm as csv ?

When I export I get the pop up box telling me it cannot save in the current format and will be lost... I accept that and it is saved as a .csv file. I am on a mac. I have opened it with the Text Editor and Text Wrangler, and there are no commas after the records.

Code O? I do save as csv file.

Ah, I know nothing about Macs, except they exist and Excel is different on them
