Hi there,

I am making a rugby player database system in Microsoft Access 2010. I have a main database table with player information AND parent information all in the same record. This is because I couldn't find a better way of relating the player to parent. The difficulty comes because I have both parents information in the same record. They are named under Parent1 and Parent2. The information includes First Name and Surname, address, phone numbers email etc. all the usually spiel!! I am trying to create a table which shows all records from parent 1 and parent 2 as seperate records in one PARENT DATABASE table. I dont want to get rid of the main database table as the user input forms need both player and parent information.

ALSO I stored player names as Player First Name and Player Surname. I have made a query which joins these two together. I need to use the data in this query i.e. their full names in a table which will show attendance and availability. In short, I need to use the data from the query in one of the table columns. I was wondering if this were possible.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP WHICH IS MUCH APPRECIATED.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
What are you looking for help with exactly?

Is it for the parents?

For that you should have separate table with one parent per record.

Having separate tables for parents and players shouldn't stop the data for parents/players being entered on the same form.
