Hi! I have a formula question. I am in Excel and am trying to pull data from two different rows to determine what to input for another row. For example, Column B Row 6, I have a $ Total. Column B row 8 I have a number that tells me how many Exemptions this "person" uses. This number (depending on the number of exemptions) determines how much $ should be subracted from the total (B6). I have a table to the side with information like Number of exemptions, Gross Wages are Over (this amount) BUT not over (this amount), etc.

Am I making any sense??? I thought I had something figured out using conditional formatting but.......... no.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Could we see the formula as well as the table or at least a sample.
On the other hand... Nebuchadnezzar didn't need to give the dream for it to be interpreted, so why should we expect to have anything before we work with it?

Daniel 2:5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

Is there a way to upload the document?
