I've an application for Windows 95/NT 32-bit version that runs perfectly in Windows 95.

I'm trying to re-install and run it in Windows XP (Home Edition, SP-2).

The application's functionality appears to be almost intact, with one exception: I can not save the data file after analyses, nor can I open a data file from a list!

I get the message: "....exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Tell Microsoft about this problem"

The developer of the application is no longer in business.

Any suggestions ??

During the installation in Windows XP, Does the message: "File Attribute Incompatible", and the highlighted path: "C:\Windows\System32\Msvcrt.dll", reveal anything to you ??

Thank you. :help:
