i have two combo boxes

the first one i would like linked to the seconed,

so when john smith is selected in the first combo box

the seconed combo box gives me choice of just the choices of john smith (ie john smith is assocated with london stoke and leeds) and not every choice that is availble (every city in england)

additionally to that then i need a rolling number in another box

When this john Smith name name is entered i need a third box to display

JS/1001 (this number must roll on on each record)

then for the next entry when i put in John Doe in the combo box the following box needs to come out JD/1002 and so on.

is this possible, i'm a newbie to this access please help
