Help: Advice on how to change specific cells to unlocked format (Macro?)

Greetings,

I am working on a fairly complex model with lots of formatting and lots of checkboxes. I need a quick way to get all the cells with a checkbox unlocked so when I protect the sheet they are usable. I have lots of merged cells so just highlighting a column is a non-starter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts
