I'm wanting to pull the contents of cell in another sheet The sheet name is determined by cell B3 in a sheet named report selection (this is a year). The column is determined by VLOOKUP('Report Selection'!B2,Work!A1:B12,2,FALSE).
Code:
this is what I have but it is incorrect =INDIRECT(""""&'Report Selection'!B3&"!"&VLOOKUP('Report Selection'!B2,Work!A1:B12,2,FALSE)&1)

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Solved. I broke the formula into parts and combined the parts into the indirect and was able to get it to work
