Having issues with Split forms and tab forms

Hi,
I am trying to use a split form with tabs. I am getting this random issue, where anytime I am adding a field to one of the tabs it is not showing up automatically in the table view of the split form. Don't know if I need to do something to get the field visible in the data view or something. it is just very frustating to not seeing the right result. Looking for any advise you can offer

use 1 or the other....either a split form
or a Tabbed form
or a parent / child form (tabs can work here too)

I really like the split view and my table view and form are connected. Wanted to use the TAB form here so I can limit the amount of data. What is the alternative way to fix the issue I have.
