Is it possible to hardcode a date using a formula based on another cell criteria?
Like if A1 does not equal blank B2 equals today’s date mm/dd/yyyy

or can this only be achieved through VBA?

Excel Facts

How to total the visible cells?
From the first blank cell below a filtered data set, press Alt+=. Instead of SUM, you will get SUBTOTAL(9,)
Format B2 as "Date" and then place this formula in B2: =IF(A1<>"",NOW(),"")

Hey mumps,
The problem with using today is the date will change, it is not hard coded to keep the same date..I already am using one events change so not sure how to do that either with two. I have tried having two event changes and have not been able to make it work yet..
