I am trying to find out why I am having trouble with an Excel spreadsheet. It was originally an Excel '97 spreadsheet but the converted to '07. I closed and then reopened the new .xlsx file. Name shown was budget analysis.xlsx and when opened it would be indicated in the top filename area as budget analysis.xlsx (Group) - Microsoft Excel.

What is the (Group) mean? The problems that I have with this file is that a copy/paste in one worksheet will appear in some others but not all.

TIA

No, only one tab is selected. It is most bizarre. The only thing that is really odd about the file is that it gets the (Group) added after the extension in the name at the top of the opened file. (Group) is not part of the name of the file and appears nowhere else. I am thinking now that maybe it was added by a VBA. This is not my file so I don't know its true history.
