Oh wise council - please help.

My boss would like to impress upon our sales staff where they actually stand in terms of percentages. He would like a visual to really drive the point home. His idea is the old thermometer visual - the type you see in churches that show how much further you need to go to reach your goal.

I looked through the chart options and the closest I could find would be the bar graphs - the actual sales standing beside the sales goal. But that isn't what the boss wants. I would really like to impress him with the thermometer - or something close to it. If it's not possible to show this, I'll have to use the cheater method of combining Excel and Publisher and draw my own thermometer. Please don't let me embarrass myself.

Thank you!

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Have a play arpund with the drawing toolbar. You should be able to knock up a thermometer with that. Record a macro while doing it and then edit to get it how you want. You could then write a sub that drwas the thermometer with the required "temperature"!
