Hello,

I'm outputting a delimited txt file using $ as my delimiter from SQL server. This file will be output once every 5 minutes. I'm wanting to graph this data on a continuous basis. I'm trying to link it through Data / From Text/CSV, but it doesn't give me the option to choose the delimiter. I'm using Excel2016.

I've looked at my options but I don't see anyway to do this. Has anyone else ever tried to do this?

Thanks,

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
This is in Office 365 Insider, so some of the details may have evolved since your version.

Select the file, click Transform to open the Power Query editor.

On the Transform tab, click Split Column, choose By Delimiter.

In the Split Column by Delimiter dialog, choose Custom in the dropdown and enter $. My simple text file was even so simple that it guessed I wanted to use $.
