i have a question about the graph from this data pictured below. as you can see the first two days with data graph as they should then the Days Old line falls to 0 and graphs the rest of the month. that column (D) has a formula to return no data if the date column (E) is blank. the days old column updates only when the date in E is populated. this is causing the extended graph line. how can i address this? thanks

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Instead of having your formula return no data, have it return #N/A Excel won't try to chart that.

Forgot to mention, don't use quotes around the #N/A in your equation, jut the #N/A alone

can't get it to work. here is my formula. =IF(E4="","",TODAY()-E4)
insert #na after the first comma? without the quotes

I think they are saying to write it like this:
Excel Formula:
=IF(E4="",#N/A,TODAY()-E4)

Is the error just where your formula returns blank? It should do that, but it won't hurt your chart. See attached
