graph formatting issues

I am running a query which pulls out 3 fields, a date, a quantity, and a contractor associated with these. I am initially running a delete query, then appending these fields based on the users input to a table. I am then having a form pull this table and put it into a graph. The format of the graph is not how I want it. How can I decide where my fields go?? Is there a properties menu somewhere? Any other method?
 

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
