Hello,

I'm wondering if there is a weigh to "weight" my y axis on an excel chart. I have many points that fall in between $0 and $1,000,000, fewer that fall between $1,000,001 and $10,000,000 and very few greater than $10,000,000. So, I would like the points that fall in between $0 and $1,000,000 to take up a greater physical portion of the y axis.

I would also be ok if I could just custom name my y axis major lines. Here is my list:

$25,000,000.00
$20,000,000.00
$15,000,000.00
$10,000,000.00
$9,000,000.00
$8,000,000.00
$7,000,000.00
$6,000,000.00
$5,000,000.00
$4,000,000.00
$3,000,000.00
$2,500,000.00
$2,000,000.00
$1,500,000.00
$1,000,000.00
$750,000.00
$500,000.00
$250,000.00

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

Rob Schmidt

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Logarithmic scaling should do the trick. I'm sure there must be ways to do that in Excel. I haven't tried it though.

Thank you. I wasn't able to get too far with that information.

Does anyone know if I could even delete certain labels? I currently have the chart showing every million dollars as the major gridlines. I would be content if I could even delete gridlines 11 million through 14 million.
