Hello all,

I need some help with a problem that is plaguing me and I don't see a section for Google Sheets, so I placed this question here to see if I can get some help.

My company I work for uses Google sheets to log information into a spreadsheet, and we have a column that we are wanting to put timestamps. So that when a employee enters a key data field the timestamp for this entry will appear. The issue is that is occuring is we are getting the "Service invoked too many
times" error cause we are using a script to have the stamp get entered. We want to either figure out a non-script way to get the stamps to appear, or using the script to stop getting the errors to coming up.

Another issue we are having is when someone opens the page up, all the time stamps that have already been entered for the day get changed to the time the person opened the sheet, across all sheets. Is there a way around this. We don't want to use forms, we want to continue using the sheet format.

Anyway I can help I will be glad to assist.
