Greetings Fellow Excel Nerds,

I am working on a project that requires good map integration. The user will have a csv and an accompanying kml file. The desired result is a map displayed on the worksheet with the ability to click on a given record or set of records and display location points on the map. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also, this needs to be done via VBA.

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.

Does it have to be done in Excel? You could do it through Google Maps or Google Fusion Tables which would be easier? If you still need it in excel afterwards you could use the Web Browser Control to show the resultant web link on an a Excel worksheet.

Unfortunately it does need to be done in Excel and they want to be able to see the map on the sheet with ability to click on a table record and jump to that map location. Ideas?

Hi KGaul,
can you tell me a bit more about the KML and CSV? Is the KML every time different? Or is there a big set of regions where the KML will be a selection from? Do you have Power Map in your Excel?
Thanks for helping me to help you :),
Koen
