Needing help with formula please to solve our riddle......
Unfortunately the playing members is 18 which is odd due to drop outs, but we plan to have 3 teams of 6 (18 players) and 5 days play for golf matches.
Each day there are 5 groupings, 3 fourball matches (2v2) and 3 single matches (1v1). 2 of the single matches will be played in a 4 and the other game will be played just 1v1 so just the 2 people (want to ensure that this only affects a possible 10 people. So 4 players from Team A, 3 from Team B and 3 from Team C)
Day 1 = AvB, BvC and CvA (all 2v2). plus AvB, BvC and CvA (all 1v1).
The same format will continue for the next 4 days also.
So for each individual in each team they should be able to play with someone different every day within their own team and then play with other member teams with the least amount of duplications.
Here's hoping
