Hi, I am facing a very odd issue. When i open an excel file, it prompts an external linkage whilst opening. However, when i check edit link, there isn't any linked file and there isn't any names linked to an external file under Name Manager. It seems like this link is causing my file to be very heavy in size and every action is slow.
Would any one have any idea how i am able to local this link and remove it?

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Bill Manville created an excellent add-in called FindLinks that you can track down on the interweb.

Can you narrow it down to an individual sheet.
Create a copy of workbook and delete one sheet at a time.

Or Maybe create a new workbook and copy data to the new book.

I don't use the find "[" anymore as suggested in the ExtendOffice version.
With the proliferation of Excel Tables the "[" is now too common to be workable.
I tend to use find ".xls" without the quotes. This will not find values in hidden sheets though so you would need to unhide them first.

This does a lot of the heavy lifting for you. You will find it here > FindLink
It will look in hidden sheets and also in names and conditional formatting among others.

Once you install it, on the first pass try entering .XLS into the input box and try the middle button in the options which just makes a list in a new workbook.
