Getting data from many sheets to one overview

I have searched the Internet and, ofcourse, this forum. I just could not find a workable solution (maybe I haven't searched good enough).

What I have is a workbook with 200 sheets with exactly the same layout. It is a working schedule of 200 employees. What I want is in a specific sheet to enter the date and Excel has to put the data, from these 200 sheets, in a nice overview. This works perfectly with VLOOKUP, but it takes time. Is there a way to speed things up with VBA? Those 200 sheets are named 1 to 200. The range is from cells E through AR (row is depending on the date entered).

I would love to hear a neat and fast solution ;) Thanks in advance

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Not a lot of info to go on, but I suspect the neatest & fastest solution is to put the data from the 200 worksheets onto one worksheet. Then delete the 200 worksheets.

So, set up like a database table. Or number of tables as required.

With a smart set up, everything is much, much neater & faster. It really is far & away the best approach.

Working with the built-in data handling functionality is efficient. Such as autofilter, advanced filter, pivot tables, query tables, etc.
A parameterised query may suit what you want.

Add some VBA if you want to get fancier, or add some real zing. HTH
