I have a cell, K2, with a Number Format of dd/mm/yyyy

When I try to assign this number format to a string variable it comes out as m/d/yyyy

strNF = Range("$K$2").NumberFormat

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
Number Format of dd/mm/yyyy
you mean Date Format , not Number Format,right?

I am after the Number Format not the value in the cell.
Does work for you?
VBA Code:
strNF = Format(Range("$K$2").Value, "dd/mm/yyyy")

What happens if you use this?
VBA Code:
