Get cell reference

Hi,

There is probably an easy way to do this but I can't seem to figure this one out.

How do I construct a formula to reference a cell, like "B10" so that the value returned in "B10".

I want to the formula to change when the cell moves, for example if I add a column and "B10" moves to "C10.

I think we need more details.
What is your formula?

If you enter the formula:
=B10
in some cell (let's say M1 for this example) and then insert a new column at A, that formula will automatically change to:
=C10
which sounds like is what you want, right?

If I point to cell "BQ4" using a formula in cell "A1"

I want cell A1 to return the value "BQ4". Since BQ4 is the cell reference I am pointing to.

If I insert a column in column C, then BQ4 would change to BR4

I think the OP wants to return the cell that is being referenced.

I don't know what formula to use. That is the point of my question. Tell me what formula to enter into cell A1 to return a given cell reference.

If I enter a formula in cell A1, that formula must return "BQ1" in my example. Or any other cell reference I choose.

Does this make sense?
