gernal office question

Does anyone know if there is a way to update or add to the spell check in office 2010? I find myself goggling words for spell check because office does not do the job for me. The recommendations for spell checked words rarely work for me.

Among the spell-checking options when presented with a misspelled word, you can add the word to your (custom) dictionary.
