Greetings oh enlightened Excel Professionals!

I humbly seek advice over a number of little issues...

I have looked thru a number of the threads and answers already on this site but I do not see anything similar to what I am going to ask you.

I want to develop an ordering system for my company that reduces the amount of physical paper work (yes, a "green" system) that is being completed at the moment.

What I like to do is this:

We have several different departments and a newly established stores/purchasing department.

1) Department A needs to order some uniforms;
2) they call up a blank UNNUMBERED Excel purchasing order on their computer;
3) They complete it and e-mail it to the stores department;
4) It arrives on the stores department's computer and goes into a folder prepared there by the stores lady;
5) At a certain time of the day the stores lady will open her mail, and as each of the Excel orders is opened in Excel, so a sequential order number is generated - for each order;

Really looking forward to your help.

Many thanks and God Bless

Graham

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
