First of all, if I'm posting in the wrong forum, just let me know and point me at the right one.

I know something about Excel, but I'm a rank beginner starting to study VBA, and I'm wondering if there's some place on this forum I can ask some general questions about vba and syntax in subs and functions that aren't necessarily tied to a specific problem, other than learning.

I just started reading John Walkenbach's book on VBA Programming for Dummies, and I have a couple of other VBA and macro books (but his seems the most user-friendly so far). My knowlege of VBA goes about as far as knowing the hierarchy, and being able to write a couple of very simple subs and functions, on the order of 'Hello World'.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
I would assume it would be the Excel Questions forum. I have just joined but most of the VBA / Excel related quations seem to be in there.

Cheers

Dan

Hi Lefty

Yep probably best to post them in the Excel Questions forum. You have a great learning book there by the way - it's what I started out with.
