Gantt Chart Using Pivot Table Data

Hello everyone, this is my very first post.

I've been an excel user for many years but still have a lot to learn about pivot tables. I currently have a gantt chart set up in excel using the typical stacked chart method pulling data from a standard table. However, since the number of rows is going to change on a regular basis, I would rather use a pivot table for the gantt instead.

I have not been able to duplicate the standard gantt process using a pivot table. My main difficulty is getting a row of dates to appear along the x-axis. Can anyone give me a suggestion on how to make this happen? I've also tried using named ranges in the standard table but the results have not been satisfactory.

Thanks in advance,
Jonas
