I have made an Excel form to enter data some cells by users. I want to protect the format of whole sheet (colors, validations, etc.) in all cells (even those where the user can enter data). The problem is when I lock a cell the user can not enter data but when I do not lock a cell the user can change the format and validation of cell.
How to create a sheet where the user can only do to enter data some cells and no more.

Select the cells where users can enter data, then Format > Cells > Protection tab > untick Locked. Then protect the sheet.

select a cell that is to be used for user and goto Format>cells>protection and unprotect those cells. then protect the sheet

As I mentioned if I unlock a cell the user can do anything with the cell not only fill it. Even can change the validation.
