In the company we use tools, which have at the end of the cutting plates-inserts.
These plates-inserts are changed at different intervals.
I have a table with plates-inserts in next cell interval after which they must change.

Worker view piece id, and find value in the table - top of the table. Look for colured cell in column wich show replacing.
In the same row far left finde the name of plates-inserts wich must change.
When replace the plates-inserts in the appropriate cell left his ID and warning disappears. the following warning depending on the preset interval.

The problem occurs if the exchange is done outside the plan - sooner or later.
The following warning must exist from the last change (item id) + interval.

I would prefer solution in that order
1 file multiple sheets
from Excel 2002 upwards

The solution can also VB - as long the code is understandable and possible editing .
plates-inserts have no order
intevrali are not uniform or in order.
History must be stored for later processing.

Since my nativ language is not english, I hope ...
