Function STOCKHISTORY with DJIA and S&P500 Indexes

Does anyone know how to get STOCKHISTORY to report data for the two indexes DJIA and S&P500? It returns a value error for those two stock data types.
 

Excel Facts

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
