Hi everyone.

I have a data in Access that I would like to get into SAS to analyse. In the past they've put the data from Access into two Excel files (as there's more than 100,000 records) then created text files from Excel then imported this into SAS.

Seems like long way round to me, surely there's a way of creating text files directly from Access?

Thanks.

PS. If anyone here knows a bit about SAS programming or knows of good forums/resources on SAS then please let me know or get in touch.

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
You can export directly as text. Select your table or query, click File, Export and choose a file type of text. You'll be taken to the Export Text Wizard where you can specify various options (delimiter, whether field names are included, etc).
