Hello all,
I have a workbook with several formulas in it that link to a program called Prosystem Tax. The formulas look something like this: =WinFx|'11948,1'!'4,N,-1'
There are a lot of times when I open the workbook and enable links that excel will freeze and ultimately crash. The only solution I have found so far is to run a program that will kill splwow64.exe and then update links. However, doing this will then cause the tax program to freeze when you need to view statements or print preview. Also, the strangest thing is that the workbook will not freeze up on everyone’s computer and it also doesn't freeze all of the time. One more thing, we have a terminal server that I have tried this on, and splwow64.exe can be running and it will not freeze excel when it links to tax.
Any suggestions about what might be causing this and how to fix it? Also can anyone explain the formula, or a better way to link it?
Thanks,
Blake
