Fraction to a decimal

Hi Guys,

I currently have a load of fractions in column D.

I would like to convert them to decimals in column E.

Could someone please tell me what formula I should use to do this?

For example, 1/1 should be 2.0 and 2/5 should be 0.4.

What version of Excel are you using?

It's gambling related, if 1/1 needs to equal 1.0 in a formula provided then I can always just +1 if needed. Thanks

Thanks for that, how about

=TEXTBEFORE(D2,"/")/TEXTAFTER(D2,"/")

but this will return 1 for 1/1
