Hi,

First time posting so I hope I make sense.
I’m just studying excel and have an assignment to complete and I am stuck on which formula I need.
I need to check if a provider on sheet 1 e7 is on the approved list on sheet 3 a1:02 and to return a yes or no answer

Am I best to recreate sheet 3 so I can do a hlookup, but would I be able to get that to return a yes or no?

Many thanks in advance

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Hi, Welcome to MrExcel,

If you need to return a yes or no then you could use Fluff's suggestion, which returns true or false, and wrap it in a conditional statement.

=IF(COUNTIF(count_range,criteria_range)>0,"Yes","No")

Hope this helps,
