Hi !!

I have problem with formula not being updated. All my excel file has this problem and when ever I update my excel workings the totals or any other formulas given doesn't update itself. Always I have to go to the formula and double click and enter, it to work.

I have checked whether my excel is set to manual calculations and ensured its set for automatic. Even I pressed F9 yet my formulas doesnt get update it self. I have big trouble with this as I have huge file with huge no of formulas.

Pls help me on this

thanx

It still sounds to me like your calculation is getting set to manual. Are you checking the setting while that workbook is open?

Excel Facts

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Are you sure you are giving the computer enough time to recalculate? (Does it say Calculate in the status bar?)

I assume you mean =SUM(C7:J7)

The status bar is the grey bar at the bottom of the application window - does it say 'Ready' or 'Calculating' in the bottom left corner?

In 2007, it's:
Office button - Excel Options - trust Center - Trust Center Settings - Privacy Options - Remove personal information from file properties on save.

Hi

1) yes its =SUM(C7:J7)

2) Remove personal information from file properties on save - was checked (ticked) & I un-ticked & tried- it doesn't work

3) While I enter something within =SUM(C7:J7) range I get enter message first & then ready (on my left corner) However, just after that I can see "calculate" not (calculating)
