Formulas not saving

So i'm at work and we have a spreadsheet where every price in cell A is 15% off. we did the right formula in the box (=A1*.85) everything was looking good so we saved it. when i went to open it this morning it hasn't saved the formula the prices are not 15% off. I tired entering the formula again,saving it and reopening it but still no luck it didn't save.

Any ideas?

Have you tried another spreadsheet by entering something random in, and then saving, exiting and opening it back up again?

Does it just show (=A1) or no formula at all?
