Hello,
I am looking for a formula or way to tally ranked votes on speaker nominations. The selection committee was asked to rank the nominees, 1 being top preference. This needed to be done for several locations. Some locations had two nominiees and others had 3, 4, or 5 nominees. The goal is to find the top two selections for each location (the locations that only had two nominees obviously isn't an issue).
I've searched the Internet for a formula, but other than finding out that this kind of tally is called a Borda Count, I can't find anything that shows how to do this using Excel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am under a time constraint and need to get the results back to the committee as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Sandra
